Time is a curious beast

 

Regardless of who we are, our morality, our goals, our ambitions, what we desire, what we do, how we live... time passes and takes no quarter.

 

We know this. We are acutely aware of the passing of time, yet... our ability to grasp it slips through our fingers like grains of sand.

 

Sometimes the only mark of passing time is change, for change is the evidence of time.

 

For as fast as time passes, change can be glacially slow.

 

But change is certain, and though we may not see it as it happens, we may be shocked at the transformation, feel betrayed even, by our inability to recognize or remember the change.

 

Those changes are now a part of the story. 

 

Nothing and no one is immune to change.
